Fridge removal rates vary depending on size and condition of fridge, and where on the property it needed to be removed from. The greater the labour involved, the more expensive the collection rate. People sometimes describe their fridge as reusable when it is broken. But if the reason you are looking for it to be taken away is because you have bought a new one to replace it, then perhaps it's not reusable! Disposal facilities charge a premium to receive fridges because they contain various hazardous materials that need to be disposed of separately. That is why the cost of a fridge removal is high relative to collection charges for removing other bulky appliances like dishwashers and washing machines. A green heart means that the fridge was reused or sent to a recycling facility with zero waste to landfill.
